False Notes is a film about a woman living with domestic violence. Her life takes a long overdue turn after she is visited by Tom, a young hustler from a war torn country assuming the role of a Christian missionary. His effort to coerce Cara into a life with god is foiled after escaping assault from Cara’s boyfriend, Ramon. Tom and Cara finally escape into the streets of downtown Los Angeles.

This was from a 2K scan of 35mm nitrate negative. There was significant dirt and scratches on the negative. We also removed some slight unsteadiness. There was some faint flicker removed, as well as some grain reduction. Unfortunately due to the low bitrates allowed with vimeo, some of the finer details of the work are lost. Be sure to watch the video full screen!
