Color Grade and Lens Flare FX from Craig Rogers on Vimeo.

Fun music video project. USC student asked for lens flare fx to be added to his video. I showed him a color grading as well and he loved it.

This was from a 2K scan of 35mm nitrate negative.  There was significant dirt and scratches on the negative.  We also removed some slight unsteadiness.  There was some faint flicker removed, as well as some grain reduction.  Unfortunately due to the low bitrates allowed with vimeo, some of the finer details of the work are lost.  Be sure to watch the video full screen!

The Kool-Aid Wino – A man revisits his old neighborhood after hearing about an unfortunate accident which crippled his poverty-stricken friend. He learns about his friend’s fascination with Kool-Aid after reluctantly taking part in getting his “fix” from the local grocery store.
